Sophie joined Agnew::Beck’s grant writing team in Summer 2024. Her career spans the public sector, with previous professional experience in the nonprofit, state government, and community foundation areas. After attending college in Washington D.C., Sophie spent three years in Alaska, first as a direct service provider at an Anchorage community-based reentry center and later as a legislative aide for the state legislature in Juneau. Most recently, she worked on housing and tax policy for the Colorado legislature’s nonpartisan legal department. Sophie’s areas of expertise include criminal justice, mental health, and housing policy. Sophie works remotely from her hometown of Denver, CO.
