Agnew::Beck presented two sessions at the APA Idaho Conference in October in Idaho Falls! (http://idahoapa.org/).
Ellen Campfield Nelson gave a highly informative presentation, Graphic Design for Planners, to APA conference attendees that explained the components of graphic design, the tools that designers use in the field, and simple strategies to make every day products more attractive and useful for audiences.
Agnew::Beck also led a panel that included Tim Breuer (ED, Land Trust of the Treasure Valley), Julia Grant (Boise City Foothills and Open Space Manager) and our own Ellen Campfield Nelson and Chris Beck. The panel shared stories from years of recreation planning work, especially regarding trails development, and what strategies proved the most effective. The list of projects ranged from Idaho open space conservation to rural Alaska trail networks. There was a special emphasis on health related benefits associated with successful recreation planning.
