The Alaska Chapter of the American Planning Association awarded the Public Outreach award to the Mat-Su Health Foundation and Agnew::Beck for the Mat-Su Community Health Needs Assessment: Community Engagement Initiative. Shelly Wade and Sara Boario of the U.S.F.S also shared their experience with youth engagement in forest planning during the annual conference session.
Mayor Sullivan and Lori Schanche also accepted the National APA award for Best Places for the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.
