Agnew::Beck worked with the AK Alliance for Healthy Kids to plan the 2013 Childhood Obesity & Childhood Health Summit. The brought together a broad, statewide coalition of stakeholders interested in reducing childhood obesity and promoting kids’ health in Alaska. Participants had the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers about best practices in obesity prevention and public health, learn about the AK Alliance for Healthy Kids’ strategic plan to prevent childhood obesity, and build action plans that move the State toward a reduction in the prevalence of childhood obesity. The goal was to bring as many people and organizations to the table to address this important problem!
